Original Custom Piece - Día de los Muertos Inspired
A customer came to me looking for a unique design inspired by the Day of the Dead/Día de los Muertos - of course this meant just a splash of colour...
We discussed some ideas on a romantic but not too romantic layout and how we could personalise it with their wedding flowers as it was a present for their spouse, and this is the finished result.
Painting photos is one thing but working to create something completely new is both challenging and a lot of fun!
Knocker-upper
Before alarm clocks were reliable we had “knocker-ups” or "Knocker Uppers", their job was to wake sleeping people so they could get to work on time.
This one is using a pea-shooter! I had no idea these existed so I learned something new with this one.
I brought a lot of different styles together here to try and really get the feel of the picture - blocked colour in some, blended in others, and a dry, scratchy effect for the walls behind.
Reservoir dogs inspired corporate piece
This company director is a big fan of Reservoir Dogs and commissioned a piece in the same style as the iconic movie poster.
The a2 canvas incorporates members of the team within this telecommunications company, and an industry-relevant mobile phone has been added as a personalised touch.
